From delicious meals to stunning holiday displays, and even a bit of Vegas-style entertainment, it was a trip to remember.

We packed up the car and hit the road from California to Vegas on Christmas morning. Surprisingly, traffic wasn’t too bad, Christmas miracles are real! During our road trip, this portable phone charger was a lifesaver, keeping our phones charged while we navigated and captured memories along the way.
This gorgeous Christmas display at the front desk features a regal silver nutcracker, glittering golden accents, and shiny metallic ornaments that capture the festive spirit of the season.
Later, we met up with family at Park MGM and decided to gather at EATALY. We enjoyed some light appetizers, nothing too fancy, just a little something to tide us over while catching up and soaking in the lively atmosphere.
We took an Uber from Park MGM to the Fontainebleau Casino, inside the casino, we were greeted by a stunning Christmas tree adorned with elegant blue, gold, and silver ornaments. Wrapped in shimmering metallic ribbons and surrounded by luxurious golden gift boxes, the tree perfectly complemented the sophisticated ambiance of the Fontainebleau.
We then headed to Mother Wolf for a light dinner. The entrance stood out with its large wooden double doors and a beautiful mural of a Roman feast, giving it a unique and elegant feel. The soft lighting and sleek design made it a welcoming and classy spot in the Fountainbleau Casino.
Let me tell you, their house-made pasta is everything. The lemon-flavored linguini was so fresh and tangy, I’m still thinking about it.
And the tiramisu? Let’s just say it disappeared off the plate faster than a blackjack win.
The next day, my husband and I decided to have a day to ourselves. We started by driving to Tacos El Gordo, which is always a must. Their adobada tacos are just chef’s kiss, juicy, flavorful, and worth every second of the inevitable wait in line. No matter how many times we go, it never gets old.
After lunch, we took an Uber from the MGM Grand to the Bellagio Conservatory to check out the Christmas display. And wow, they really outdid themselves this year!
A sleigh fit for Santa himself! Bellagio’s grand red sleigh, surrounded by twinkling trees, is the ultimate holiday centerpiece.
Bellagio’s tribute to the classic poem ‘A Visit from St. Nick’ sets the stage for a magical holiday journey filled with tradition, giving, and family.
This stunning Christmas tree at the Bellagio is the epitome of holiday elegance, decked out with red, gold, and candy cane ornaments, surrounded by poinsettias and vintage carousel.
A life-sized gingerbread house straight out of a fairytale, complete with heart-shaped details and mischievous elves climbing the roof.
This majestic reindeer stands tall in the heart of Bellagio’s holiday display, complete with plaid details and festive décor.
A bright red gift bag filled with a nutcracker and a big teddy bear stands in front of a festive carousel and a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. Oversized toys like a drum and trumpet add a playful holiday touch to the scene.
From there, we walked to The Flamingo to check out their famous pink flamingos. Walking around the Strip can be long, so having a lightweight crossbody bag was perfect for carrying essentials without the bulk. The garden at The Flamingo was peaceful, with palm trees, red rocks, and a small waterfall creating a relaxing vibe. The flamingos were so entertaining, just casually standing on one leg or wandering around like they owned the place. It was a fun little detour and a nice break from the busyness of the Strip.
Later that evening, we reunited with family at the Yard House in The LINQ Promenade. The atmosphere was lively, with festive lights and the stunning High Roller observation wheel glowing in the background.
We enjoyed a spread of calamari, avocado toast, and chips with guacamole, simple yet absolutely delicious. It was the perfect spot to unwind, refuel, and soak in the holiday vibes before heading to the night’s main event.
We ended the day with a trip to The LINQ Casino to see the Matt Franco show, and it did not disappoint. Matt Franco is an incredible performer who blends jaw-dropping magic with a playful sense of humor that kept us all thoroughly entertained.
His tricks were mind-blowing, some left us scratching our heads, while others had us clapping and cheering in amazement. What made the show even better was how interactive it was, he engaged with the audience, making the experience feel personal and unforgettable. My whole family really enjoyed it and It was the perfect way to wrap up our evening and definitely one of the highlights of our trip!
To wrap up our night, we took the Las Vegas Monorail from The LINQ Promenade back to MGM Grand. At just $6 per person, it was a convenient and affordable way to travel while enjoying some great nighttime views of the city. The ride was quick, clean, and a perfect way to wind down after a fun-filled day. Highly recommend it for getting around the Strip!
