Folded paper heart craft for Valentine's Day is a unique handmade gift idea. I'm not sure about you, but it has been harder and harder to find that perfect gift for my nephews and nieces. It seems like every year is more difficult to think of an original idea for them- especially when they are just getting older and don't want anything I would buy anyway! That's why I love this folded paper heart craft. It is quick, easy and inexpensive- all three things my nieces and nephews love!
This will be a very sweet handmade gift for your kids, friends, or significant other on Valentine's Day. This Valentines day, celebrate the love in your life with a heart that was made just for them. This craft is so simple you can do it with your kids! Let's get started!
MATERIALS NEEDED:

- Regular Colored Copy Paper of Your Choice
- Gluestick
- Pencil or Pen
- Round Shape Bowl
STEP 1:
Trace the shape of the bowl by placing it on top of the paper and tracing the circle shape using a pen or pencil.

STEP 2:
Cut the shape that you traced using a scissor by slowly following the circle line. Just do your best to follow the shape, it doesn't need to be a perfect circle.

You should have something like this once you finish cutting.

STEP 3.
You will begin the folding process. The purpose of this is to have creases so you can use these creases as a guide to easily fold the paper like an accordion later.
Begin by folding the paper in half.

Now you will have two sides (left and right). Pick one of the sides and fold one of the sides in half using the crease at the center as a guide.

Don't let go of what you just folded and fold it again.

Do the same thing of not letting go of what you just folded one last time using the crease as a guide.

Now do the other side by by following the steps above

Once you're done, you should have something like this with line creases.

STEP 4:
Start folding the paper in an accordion pattern.
Begin by folding the top flap aligning it on the crease.

Then flip the paper and do the same process by folding and aligning it on the crease.

Repeat the steps until you having something like this.

STEP 5:
Hold the piece that you have, putting a little pressure and pressing it up and down.

Now find the middle section, then fold the piece in half making sure that the top portions are aligned. If they're not aligning that means you didn't fold it in the center, keep playing around until you see that everything aligns.

Once everything aligns, open it and apply some glue. You can use gluestick and it will be strong enough since it's a thin material type of paper.

Close both ends by pressing both sides together then wait about a minute for the glue to dry.

Slowly spread the paper.

Then ta-da! you should have something like this, a folded heart shaped paper.
